Where digital checks fall short
Deepfakes and AI-generated identities introduce new risks into remote hiring.
Every digital screening tool operates in the same environment as the fraud it's trying to catch. Face-to-face notarization adds a verification step automated checks can't replicate: a real person, present, in front of a state-licensed notary.
Risk: AI-generated identities
Synthetic faces, cloned voices, and fabricated documents can pass every digital screening tool on the market. They cannot walk into a room. Add a step that synthetic identities cannot replicate.
Risk: Tax fraud exposure
Remote workers in locations other than they claim create tax and compliance exposure. PinpointVerify gives you a notarized record of where your applicant was at the time of verification.
Risk: Data security
Hackers, foreign interests, and corporate espionage operations are positioned to use fraudulent remote hiring to gain insider access. A verified applicant means you took steps beyond digital screening.

Learn more βHow it works
Simple for you. In-person for them.
The one step in remote hiring that requires showing up.
You submit
Enter your applicant's name, email, and address. We locate the nearest available notarization site with a confirmed, active state-licensed notary and handle all coordination from there.
They show up
Your applicant receives instructions with their assigned location, confirmed notary hours, and a prepaid return shipping label. They visit in person, present their government-issued photo ID, sign the document in front of the notary, and ship it back. The visit takes about 15 minutes.

You receive verified proof
When the notarized document ships, we confirm the shipping origin against the assigned notarization location, independently confirming the document came from where it was supposed to. You receive a verification status update and the scanned original.

What we verify
We're precise about what we do.
We Verify
- A notary met your applicant in person
- Your applicant's government-issued ID matches the name you submitted
- The document was notarized at the location requested
- Shipping origin of the notarized document
- The returned document matches the original we generated
We Don't
- Detect a fraudulent or altered ID. The notary confirms the ID's name matches the name you submitted, not whether the ID itself is genuine
- This is not a background check
- This is not employment eligibility verification (not an I-9 process)
FAQ
Answers before you ask
What does a verification prove?
A real person with a government ID matching the name you submitted met a state-licensed notary at a confirmed location.
What is the turnaround?
Same-day digital location trace, and a scanned copy of the verification document uploaded to your dashboard in 5β14 business days.
How is this different from a background check?
A background check searches records: criminal history, employment, education. PinpointVerify confirms the physical person. We verify that a real individual appeared in person before a state-licensed notary, at a confirmed location, and signed a document under notarial witness. Background checks tell you what the records say. We tell you someone actually showed up. The two are complementary, not the same.
What if my applicant is in a rural area?
Before your applicant is ever contacted, we identify and verify the nearest available notarization location and confirm notary availability. If we can't confirm a suitable location, we notify you and issue a full refund.
Can I use this for multiple applicants at once?
Yes. Each applicant is a separate verification order, priced by your volume. If you're verifying 10 or more, contact us at enterprise@pinpointverify.com to discuss enterprise pricing and consolidated billing.
βWe don't deliver strategy decks that sit on a shelf. We build and execute. Adding PinpointVerify means every person we place has been verified in person. That's the standard our clients deserve, and it's the standard we're holding ourselves to.β
