- A state-licensed notary met your employee in person at a confirmed location
- Your employee's government-issued ID name matches the name submitted to us
- The document was notarized at the specific location assigned to the verification
- The returned document matches the original we generated
- The notary stamp is present, dated, and jurisdiction-matched *Louisiana notaries do not use stamps
We Don't
- Detect a fraudulent or altered government-issued ID, we examine it for name match only
- Conduct a criminal background check or employment history verification
- Verify employment eligibility (this is not an I-9 process)
- Provide continuous monitoring or ongoing surveillance of any kind
- Replace background check services, we complement them

Common questions
How is this different from a background check?
A background check searches records, criminal history, employment, education. PinpointVerify confirms the physical person. We verify that a real individual appeared in person before a state-licensed notary, at a confirmed location, and signed a document under notarial witness. Background checks tell you what the records say. We tell you someone actually showed up. The two are complementary, not the same.
What if my employee is in a rural area?
Before your employee is ever contacted, we identify and verify the nearest available notarization location and confirm notary availability. If we can't confirm a suitable location, we'll issue a refund and notify you.
How long does the process take?
It typically takes us 1 business day to coordinate with the notary and send instructions to your employee, once the document is notarized we typically receive the original within 7 days.
Can I use this for multiple employees at once?
Yes. Each verification is a separate order at as low as $99 per employee. If you're verifying 10 or more employees, contact us at enterprise@pinpointverify.com to discuss volume pricing and consolidated billing.
